• Green’s commenced as a family business in 1978 with a focus on co-packing a range of products. The Company was listed as a public company in 1995, by which time it was established at the site in Glendenning in Western Sydney, which is two minutes from the M7. Major shareholders included private equity groups CVC and Guiness Peat Group (GPG).
• In 1999 the Company acquired the Vetta Pasta business from Goodman Fielder which was subsequently sold in 2003.
• In 2004 the Company acquired the Lowan Cereal business with sites at Picton and Nhill in Victoria.
• In 2007 the Supercoat Petfood business was sold to Nestle and as part of the scheme of arrangement, the balance of the business was sold to Guinness Peat Group and CVC.

Green’s today

The business is owned by Guinness Peat Group and CVC both Companies have had a long term relationship with Green’s.

Greens operates in a diverse mix of product categories but the key categories are:

• Baking – The Greens brand is well-known

• Muesli- Lowan Brand

• Oats –Lowan Brand

• Microwave Popcorn -Poppin brand

• Health - Basco brand

We are also Private Label manufacturers for the major retailers.
